With the staff deleting comments and implying they are being harassed but supplying no proof, while playing victim when evidence is brought against them and their problematic behavior one has to wonder what the staff will and will not 'delete' at their con.
True many of the comments on the boards are more for humors sake than actual seriousness, if not to goad the staff even if they simply will not respond. Which may be better at this point with the situation they've landed themselves in.
However, what about cosplay? Really the only rules you have are about footwear and props, which is fine. But what if someone actually wanted to cosplay the ballpit. Wanted to cosplay WTNV. Any number of things which is completely within their right especially if they pay the badge price, would they be censored or 'deleted'? What about blackface which your staff apparently defends?
And Panels? Obviously many many people are going to have different views on subjects and so you're going to want a wide range of panels to go along with that. I don't know if gardening really fits into that line up but Homestuck and Sherlock are pretty differing subjects. But would those be censored?
Now you can always say it's for the safety of your con goers that you are censoring. But at this point the safety has only been intended for yourself as people try to seek the truth, protecting people from something they believe is dangerous, a con run by people who seem incompetent and petty. The people you claim are harassing you are actually at this point providing better information and protecting con goers better than those actually professing protection.
But I'm getting off topic.
Would you censor your artist's alley? Would you have security dashing around silencing those, or apparently man-handling people into doing something? At this point it is a question of how far you will go to cover up what you have done, or play victim and spinning the table back on so called harassers.
With as much deleting you've done so far, humourous, satire, or plain people handling out the facts of problematic staff that you'd rather not face, it seems as though you're going to censor things. So what WILL be allowed at your con? Things that won't offend the staff? Because so far those things seem to offend your con-goers a great deal. The rules of your con are no longer clear, as to what you will allow and what you will not.
