You know what might be fun? A ball pit. That's something I never see at cons, and it would be a lot of fun.

Perhaps an extra hour in the ball pit?

My vote is for a ball pit.
As long as it's the main attraction, and no-one is distracted by things like the guest list or schedule.

You should have a fundraiser to see how quick you can raise $17,000!

So if someone WERE to suggest a panel on racism, sexism, GamerGate any numerable problems out there going on right now, would Emoti-con approve of any of them? Considering they preached safety for their forum posters, potential con goers and potential customers who could all be very interested in those subjects and spreading awareness on them. But with how the situation is being handled with current problematic staff, it seems more so that this is a safe place for them. If you held real interest in the people who were even remotely interested in going to this con from past pleasant experiences, how can you guarantee their safety if they feel threatened by your own staff? Last year at Dashcon (which you say you aren't affiliated with but any boss at any company is going to look at your past references and unfortunately that is your most prevalent one) there were many different panels many which were praised because of how they were handled. However, if that were to come up now and by the way you were handling your staff it would seem you would rather cater to their opinions and beliefs than their potential con-goers. At this point the only panels that would seemingly be accepted are fandom panels, Homestuck, Sherlock, Doctor Who, etc. But then you also claim to cater to wide spread social media platforms. So what panels would be approved? Would they have any variety? Would you censor what these people have to say? At this point it seems your potential con-goers interests are not at heart and these questions NEED answering, even if staff would rather avoid them than address the problems at hand. Problems, might I add, that were instigated by them.

Since I doubt that there are many people applying to be panelists, I imagine the staff are taking it upon themselves to host panels. Will Nik be leading a panel on victim blaming? Will Jacob be leading a panel on harassment 101 and manhandling women? Because at this point, that seems to be what they are most passionate about, and I question the validity of such idea. I think a clear statement against such ideas is in order.

I'd like to see a panel on how to run a successful convention.
Oh wait...
